I chose Grasshopper mowers because of their reliability and I like the way they make a lawn look.
One of my favorite attachments is the mulching package. It does a very nice job and leaves the lawn
looking nicely cut. I mulch every time I mow. Please see service menu for details.

Dethatcher
The unified raking motion of the dethatcher removes large amounts of thatch and 'surface aerates' the soil for better root development. The dethatcher features spring steel tines that are angled forward to increase tension as the rake advances.
|
AERA-vator
The AERA-vator aerates and loosens compacted soil in the root zone even without irrigation, increasing water filtration by up to four times. PTO-driven tines vibrate in an oscillating motion to penetrate soil. The AERA-vator's heavy-duty construction allows use on packed paths and areas containing small rocks and other obstructions. This creates a more resilient surface on playing fields and improves permeability and drainage

"Down Discharger" - Creates A Healthier Lawn
When grass clippings decompose, they return nutrients to the soil.
The decomposed clippings (from down discharging) form humus which helps loosen hard soils and makes more oxygen and nutrients available to grass roots. The humus also enriches sandy soil and helps it hold moisture better.
The smaller clippings produced by the mulcher decompose more readily than other clippings. The additional level of microorganisms at work on the mulched clippings has been shown to suppress certain grass diseases and reduce mold spore counts.
And here's a surprise -- mulching doesn't cause thatch buildup.
It actually reduces thatch. The microorganisms that thrive on decomposing mulched clippings also do a good job breaking down thatch.
Perhaps the most important criteria of all, is how great your lawn looks after mulching. By improving the texture and content of the soil, and reducing diseases and thatch, the end result of Down Discharge mulching is a fuller, healthier looking lawn.

Performance and Durability
Even with the higher price of diesel fuel, the benefits of diesels are greater. Switching back to gasoline is just not an option... We run each machine at least 40 hours a week during the summer, and we put more than 1,000 hours on them per year, and they just keep going."
